Bless The Water Day 22nd March

On International Day of Water many people go out to a water source close to them, be it a River, Stream, Brook, Pond, Lake or even the Sea. You could take an offering to give thanks for the life that water provides us all with.

The Celts who arrived in England around 700BC erected what was thought to be the first shrine structures at the hot mineral springs at Bath. The Springs being dedicated to SULIS Goddess of Water. The Shrine was a religious centre for much of the South West. The Romans who later arrived at about 49AD related to Sulis as she was the same as their own water goddess Minerva

who was also a healing deity. The hot mineral rich springs of Bath where believed by the Romans as a sacred place where mortals could communicate with deities of the underworld, a place where you could seek assistance of the goddess Sulis-Minerva and also seek healing from the waters. At the bottom of the Springs were found many votive offerings thrown by worshippers and over 1200 coins have been retrieved from the springs. Throwing a coin into a Spring or well is an ancient and universal way to make a wish for yourself.

Today we find ourselves still needing healing from water, but also we need to return the healing back to the waterways. So on the 22nd of March please remember to make an offering and Blessing to Waters near you in which ever form it may present itself. This could be the Hot Springs at Bath a Sacred well, natural spring, a Lake, River, Stream, Brook, Pond, the Sea and don't forget the Rain that falls.

Hope this Wyrd Wytch Blog inspires many of you to go out tomorrow and make your own blessings no matter how small or large .. withWater Blessings Wyrd Wytch .

WYRD WATER BATH

2 Parts Epsom Salts or Dead Sea Salt

1 Parts Baking Powder

1 Part Chamomile

1 Part Lavender

1 Part Rosemary

This Sea bath is great for purification and atunement to the element of water.

When letting water out of your bath and its going down the drain, think positively where the water from the bath is going - think about the spiralling water flowing away vortex-ing and healing all waters.

Dark Blue is a good colour to wear tomorrow if taking offerings to your chosen water.

you could write a poem on parchment, fold into a little boat and let it float away, give flowers to the water, or as the Romans did throw in a blessed coin, make something of clay and give that to the water or give a blue stone.

People all over the world will be adding there energies together tomorrow to give to

Blessing the Water..
