BACK TO THE VIKING AGE.....

AD960 and Eric Bloodaxe , was banished, he was the last King of Yorvik . The city of York had become a thriving, flourishing manufacturing centre and large trading place.

Yesterday Wyrd Wytch visited York for the annual festival, first hearing the great sound of the electric violin played by ED ALLEYNE-JOHNSON , as the street audience watched on the sound of marauding warriors, mingled from a time past with ED'S violin sound of modern rock.

Setting the mingling presence of past meeting the present..........

Times may change , but maybe people don't

change so much. people are still seen fighting

for their beliefs and their homes and land.

whether it be in the medieval era or in the present. As I walked through the ancient streets of York with the dizzying height's of the towers of York Minster looming over the streets. Or the rambling through the Shambles of Medieval England , we see the Old Town with it's Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe, and the local Sand-Witch Shop. Windows filled with wonderments.

Today we still have warriors that exist with our modern societies the

warrior exists with the people who stand up for there internal beliefs. They are the warriors that fight with their hearts and passion for their lands and their homes, for the right to drink fresh water, for the rights to eat real food. These Vikings can be found in battle dress in York keeping traditions alive with textilers', crafters, silver smiths, metal workers, Artists and Musician's, Storytellers. We can also find them in the present lining the country lanes of England in a battle to save the country side they love and belong to, against the fracking movement run and owned by greedy individuals to line their greedy little pockets. We find the heart warriors fighting to stop housing development on green belt, food producing lands. It is seen

in the hearts of warriors that fight for the rights of trees, or the heart of the eco warrior.

Which ever type of heart warrior you may aspire to whether it be the outwardly fighting warrior or a warrior heart that heals or helps others or an every day good hearted individual warrior. The important thing is to follow and believe in your own heart, and do what your heart believes you should. Connected and together within the wyrd web we stand
